Don't you have a tool like TortoiseSVN? This shows you changes in the
windows file system.

Is there any chance you could setup a list for svn commits? Then you can
just 
point the google code project at the list for commit messages.

I dont know if others would find it useful but i like to know when things
change :)

also, maybe its best not to put the .project file from eclipse into svn as
your 
FDT .project file conflicts with my FB3 .project file and eclipse is getting

confused.
